At this time of year, with no races or tests going on, it would be easy to think that all is quiet at Team Alstare headquarters. But nothing could be further from the truth and the workshops and offices are an absolute hive of activity - probably more so then any other time of the year. The reason for this is very simple... the new season is fast approaching and everything has to be prepared for the first race just a couple of weeks away. Not only do the new GSX-R1000 Suzukis have to be prepared, but there is also the matter of new designs and graphics to be done also. So the past weeks (and present) have been a particular blur for Alstare’s very own designer extraordinaire - Werner Speeckaert.

Werner took a very short break to explain what is going on at present, "At the moment, I am seeing more of the workshops, then my own home! But that’s the way it is at this time of year, especially when we have completely new graphics to make for season ahead. After years on working with blue and yellow, this year you will see something completely different and it might come as a bit of a shock! The designs I have been working on are nothing like you've seen on our bikes before and are going to provoke a lot of comments for sure. They are the kind of designs that people will either love or hate, and it's going to be very interesting hearing everybody's comments. I don’t think I can show you the designs just yet, but keep logging in and I may be able to give you a sneak preview. Otherwise, you (and the rest of the world) will have to wait until the bikes roll out of the garage on the first day of practice in Qatar February 21st."
