Problems hinder Michel

Team Alstare Suzuki rider Michel Fabrizio suffered problems with his right wrist and also a lack of rear grip, causing him to finish 11th and 14th today. He was hoping to end the final round of the World Superbike Championship with a pair of strong top ten finishes, but it was not to be.

Disappointment for Michel

Team Alstare Suzuki rider Michel Fabrizio endured a frustrating raceday at Magny-Cours today. In race one, he attempted a pass on Tom Sykes (Kawasaki) on lap 17, but clipped the rear end of the Briton’s bike and and crashed. He remounted and carried on to finish twelfth. Michel’s second race lasted just two laps. He fell off at turn seven, but this time was unable to continue.

No home joy for Michel

Team Alstare Suzuki rider Michel Fabrizio endured a day of disappointment in Imola, crashing out of the first race and retiring from the second after eleven laps. Hoping to do well in front of his home fans, he started superbly in race one and was up to seventh place at the end of the first lap.

Michel fustrated in Superpole

He managed to recover well and get into Superpole 2, where he was able to use his favourite bike which had been repaired by the mechanics during Superpole 1.

This morning’s free practice started with a damp track and Michel - like many riders - just went out for a couple of laps before returning to the pits.

Michel positive about Nurburgring improvement

Team Alstare Suzuki rider Michel Fabrizio has not fared well in the past three years at the Nurburgring, so is looking for a change of fortune this year. In the past three outings, Michel’s best result has been a sixth, in 2008, but he is positive that he can do better this time out.

Tough day for Michel

Team Alstare Suzuki rider Michel Fabrizio endured a tough time of it today at Silverstone. He crashed out of the first race and then suffered tyre problems almost from the start of the second and was forced to ride cautiously just to make the finish.

Second row for Michel

Team Alstare Suzuki rider Michel Fabrizio managed to get into final Superpole today, but just failed in his attempt to get onto the front row of the grid. In the end, Michel finished with the seventh quickest time in Superpole 3 and will start tomorrow’s pair of 18-lap races from row two.
