It was not such a good day for Leon, who struggled to find grip with his qualifying tyres and ended 14th - his worst performance of the season. The young Briton will have to dig deep tomorrow, provided that he and the team can solve their problems in the morning warm-up.Cal Crutchlow (Yamaha) took Superpole - his fourth of the season, with series leader Max Biaggi (Aprilia) second. Third was Jonathan Rea (Honda), with Ruben Xaus (BMW) fourth, just a whisker ahead of Sylvain.

I am definitely very happy to have got into Superpole 3, but a little bit disappointed not to have got a place on the front row of the grid. It was very, very close and it’s a shame, but after yesterday I am so happy with the big improvement we made today. The track is definitely coming in now and it’s so much better than yesterday. The bike felt good and strong and I really enjoyed Superpole today. We hardly changed anything from yesterday except the gearbox and the engine characteristics. The top speed was better today and I was also able to go through the corners faster. I think that the biggest change today was the track’s grip level. It seems that when there is little or no track grip, we really struggle. Considering how we ended yesterday, I think the team have done a great job and I’m really looking forward to the races tomorrow.

I am very disappointed with how things went today and I’m not pleased to finish 14th - the first time I’ve been out of the top five and my worst result in qualifying this year. Today we had similar problems to yesterday and we didn’t manage to solve those problems so that’s why we are where we are. I’m having a lot of problems with lack of grip - especially on qualifying tyres. My times on race rubber are pretty good, but once I put on the qualifiers we seem to run into trouble. My grid position is going to make the races very difficult, but ahead of that we have to solve the problem. We’ll have a look at all the data and talk to the telemetry boys and see if there are some pointers. Then, we’ll have to see if the changes we make in the warm-up improve the bike. It’s going to be a very long, hot and difficult day tomorrow, but my aim is to make two good starts and fight as hard as I can.

Oggi a Brno i piloti del Team Suzuki Alstare Sylvain Guintoli e Leon Haslam hanno avuto sorti alterne. Sylvain è riuscito a migliorare i suoi problemi di grip di ieri ed è entrato nella Superpole 3, perdendo per un soffio la prima fila. Alla fine ha concluso con il 5° tempo e quindi domani partirà per i 20 giri di ogni manche dalla seconda fila della griglia.Non è stata una buona giornata per Leon, che ha faticato a trovare aderenza con le gomme da qualifica ed ha concluso 14° - la sua peggiore prestazione della stagione. Il giovane britannico dovrà scavare in profondità domani, a condizione che lui e il team risolvano i loro problemi nel warm-up.

Sono sicuramente molto felice di essere entrato in Superpole 3, ma un po' deluso di non aver ottenuto un posto in prima fila. Era molto, molto vicina ed è una vergogna, ma dopo ieri sono comunque felice del grande miglioramento che abbiamo fatto oggi. Ora la pista è sicuramente molto meglio di ieri. La moto andava bene e forte, e mi è piaciuta molto la Superpole di oggi. Non abbiamo cambiato nulla da ieri ad eccezione del cambio e delle caratteristiche del motore. Oggi la velocità massima era migliore ed ero più veloce in curva. Penso che il cambiamento più grande sia stato il livello di grip della pista. Sembra che quando ce nè poco o per niente , dobbiamo veramente lottare. Considerando come abbiamo concluso ieri, credo che la squadra abbia fatto un grande lavoro e non vedo l'ora di essere in gara domani.

Sono molto deluso di come sono andate le cose oggi e non sono contento di essere 14°- è la prima volta che sono fuori dai top cinque ed è il mio peggior risultato in qualifica di quest'anno. Oggi abbiamo avuto problemi simili a quelli di ieri e non siamo riusciti a risolverli , è per questo che siamo dove siamo. Sto avendo un sacco di problemi con la mancanza di grip - specialmente con le gomme da qualifica. I miei tempi con la gomma da gara sono abbastanza buoni, ma una volta che mettiamo le gomme da qualifica siamo in difficoltà
La mia posizione in griglia mi porta a fare gare molto difficili, ma prima di tutto dobbiamo risolvere il problema. Daremo un'occhiata a tutti i dati e parleremo con i rgazzi della telemetria per vedere se ci sono alcune indicazioni. Poi, dovremo vedere se i cambiamenti che facciamo nel warm-up miglioreranno la moto. Domani sarà una giornata molto lunga, calda e difficile, ma il mio obiettivo è quello di fare due buone partenze e lottare più che posso.
